Did he have any family link to Mary Ryan b 1829 married Dennis McCarthy b 1818 emergrated to England ?? My 3 x gran n grandad ?
James Ryan was born in 1842 in the Kerry Road, Clonmel. He grew up in St Mary's parish and had six children, one of which was my grandfather. He outlived them all and died peacefully in 1926.

Do you know if he had any family links to Margaret Ryan born abt 1907. Margaret is said to have been born in Dublin but her family were from Burncourt and surrounding area. Margaret was born to James Ryan and Catherine Mcgrath. Margaret (my grandmother) died 1932 aged 25. She married Martin Russell and had 3 children Bridget (my mother), Michael and Catherine.
Its believed she left Dublin to work with her aunts in a pub in Burncourt (possibly Old Shanbally which was owned by Ryan family)
