Patrick Loakman (baptized Patrick Loughman, also called Loakman....name changed to Lockman after arrival in the US.) was born in September 1861 to Patrick Loughman and Mary Ann Brady in the town of Naas, County Kildare. He was the fourth of nine children; Michael (1856-1917), James (1857-), Anne (1859 - ), Catherine ( 1863 - 1913), George ( 1865 - 1941), Jane ( 1867- 1867), Esther (1868 -1959), Joseph ( 1871 - )
He left for NYC in 1886 where he met and married Mary Tunney in 1887. They had five children; Anna ( 1888 - 1922), Mary Elis, ( 1889 - 1957), Florence (1890 - 1937), Henry ( 1892 - 1893) and Patrick Jim ( 1894 - 1898)
Patrick Lockman died 21 November 1935 of cancer. He is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Queens, NYC.
