Charles Burns(1st) was born about 1815 in Derry. His parents were John Burns & Mary Lafferty. He married Bridget Thomas in Derry some time around 1836. I have only been able to find a few of the baptisms for their children. One, my grt grt grandfather Charles Burns(2nd), was baptised in 1843 at St Columb's in Templemore, Derry. They all moved to Glasgow about 1848, and my Charles married a local woman, Margaret Hannah and they came to Australia about 1880.

Charles died 21 July 1865 at 13 Vennel street, Renfrewshire, Scotland
