Patrick 'Patsy' TULLY ( middle name 'Lawrence' to be confirmed ) and his brother 'Doc' FRANCIS CHARLES TULLY were born in BALLYNAKILL, Leitrim (Co Galway).
Born 20 October 1830 Woodford. Died 6 August 1922 Queensland, Australia
You can read more about them and see a Family Tree on Wikitree.
Patrick was born in WOODFORD and 'Doc' in DRIMNA which is a stone's throw away.
He left Ireland for the Australian goldfields on the ship Talavera on May 16th, 1853, landing at Melbourne, Victoria.
Patrick was actively involved in the EUREKA STOCKADE with the other rebels on the BALLARAT GOLD FIELDS in Victoria, Australia!
Patrick found gold and moved around the Gold Fields in Bendigo, Castlemaine, Ovens, Adelong and Goulburn before marrying and
establishing a Cattle Station up North in Queensland.
In GOULBURN, NEW SOUTH WALES, he married SARAH DURACK, b. Co Galway. They had 14 (or19?) children.
They must have been a happy lot because their Diamond Wedding Anniversary in 1921 went on for weeks.
Patrick, Sarah and their oldest daughter sailed back to Woodford (1906 / 08?) and returned to Australia with his brother, 'Doc' Francis Charles TULLY.
That is, 'Doc' TULLY of the Woodford Evictions during the Land Wars in the 1880's.
Farmer and boatbuilder, FRANCIS CHARLES TULLY, known locally as “Dr Tully”, was an activist for the Plan of Campaign in Co Galway.
Dr Tully's home was on the land of the Marquis of Clanricarde at Woodford and where he and a dozen or so others actively defended themselves against a fierce eviction.

1820 - I'm very curious if they had a sister named ANNE TULLY (b. 1802 ish) because EDMUND FLOOD (b. 1799) married Anne TULLY in Woodford.
Anne and Edmund FLOODad a number of children. My ancestors.
1850's - Anne FLOOD and most of their children emigrated to Australia on different ships.
An Uncle accompanied a couple of the young Floods and I believe his name was PATRICK TULLY.
So ... I wonder if that Uncle was this Patrick TULLY b 20 Oct 1830?
