Grove House aka number 37 Synge Street is situated directly opposite Synge Street CBS.
In 1864 it was home to a finishing school for girls run by a Miss Collins.
In the Census of 1901, it was home to John Hosie and family. (He and his wife Elizabeth Hosie were Baptists born in Scotland).
In the Census of 1911, it was home to Joseph Cowan and family (aka Joseph Cohen – they were Jewish).
It features in the 2016 Irish movie "Sing Street".
