Mary KELLY married O’BRIEN
Mary Kelly, born in 1835 in County Waterford, Ireland. She immigrated to Shullsburg, Lafayette Co., Wisconsin, USA in 1853. Two years later on February 22, 1855 she married James O’Brien, of County Waterford, Ireland at Benton, Wisconsin. Rev. Father Samuel Mazzucelli officiated.
After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. O’Brien lived in Shullsburg, Lafayette County, Wisconsin about a year before moving to Seymour, Wisconsin where they bought a farm. They had ten children, three dying in infancy. [See James O’Brien’s profile to see the names of their children].
Mrs. Obrien’s husband, James, died on July 25, 1912. Mary (Kelly) O’Brien died at Seymour, Wisconsin on Sunday, June 4, 1922. Both were buried at St. Matthews Catholic Cemetery, Shullsburg, Wisconsin.
