David Small is my 3rd great grandfather. Born c. 1817 in Ireland or Scotland. I have only traced him to Ireland however DNA and family lore suggests possibly scotland. He married Sarah McNeil daughter of John McNeil and Sarah Murray of Black's Lane in Ballynahinch, Down County, Ireland. They together had 3 boys ... John McNeil born c.1835, David (my gggrandfather) b. 6 May 1837 and Robert 6 Jun 1844. David died between 1844 and 1847. Possibly one daugther Ann Jane born c. 1845 but I have not found her, this information was mentioned in a page of a family bible. She may have been the daughter to Sarah McNeil's second marriage to David Findlay. I have no further information regarding David (which is a recurring name in this family).
