Researching birth of Sally Ann/Sarah Ann McTemeny/Mactomony/McEtamany in 1837.

ERROR in original documentation.  Sally Ann/Sarah Ann married Merit McLinden in 1857.

  • Researching Sally Ann/Sarah Ann McAtemeny/Mctemeny (various spellings) born approx. 1837 in Aghacommon Townland to Eugene and Elizabeth nee Hennan.  Have been unable to find birth records but have recently been advised by a XO volunteer that 3 months of birth records are missing in 1837.

    She married Merit McAlended born Armagh in 1833 and they married in Seagoe on August 28, 1857.  Merit was a freeholder in Tannaaghmore West, Armagh.

    They arrived as unassisted passengers aboard the Morning Star and disembarked in November, 1858.  Merit died in 1859 and son Arthur was born in 1859.

    • Sally/Sarah married a Thomas Preston in 1863 in Teesdale, Victoria and they had 5 children.
    • Sally/Sarah died in 1902.
