Patrick Hugh BLOOMER was born 18.3.1838 in Kileeshill Tyrone and baptised in Tullyallen Chapel. His father was also Patrick Hugh (known as Hugh) b Kileeshill 13.2.1816 and his mother was Margaret Fox also of Kileeshill Tyrone.
Patrick Hugh was a member of the Royal Irish Constabulary for a few years just prior to his marriage in Jan 1864 to Winifred Byrne (born Ashford, Wicklow1830) and resigned to emigrate to Australia on the emigrant ship "Sultana".
They landed in Maryborough Queensland, Australia in August 1864 and followed the gold rush in 1867 to Gympie Queensland. They has 2 sons, Hugh and James(my grandfather) and lived in the rip roaring days of the gold rush in Gympie till their death - Hugh (as he was known) died in Gympie 1905 and Winifred in 1913.
