Place of migration
Migrated to/Born in UK
James Quinn first born child to Thomas Quinn and Elizabeth Brien of Enniscorthy. Born 18/1/1886. Joined the Irish Guards and served in France in WW1. Took a shell shot to the chest and spent time in the Army hospital in Cheshire England. We don't have the full story but he was in Lancaster Lancashire in the 1939 Register and died 1959 in Lancaster. He returned home to Enniscorthy at some stage during or after WW1 and the family story is that he left to go to America. If he did go to America, we now know that he didn't stay there as his life was in Lancaster. We don't know if he ever married but when he died he was registered as single on his death record and also in the 1939 register of England.
