Hello from New York State, US! I am researching my family starting in Rochester, NY with my Mom and have found a trail into Ireland through Edward Kelly and Ellen Leahy (Ennistimon 1825 and immigrated to the US). Parents for Edward in my Mom's notes and detail located list Roger Kelly and Mary Mooney from Lynally.
I believe Roger and Mary were from Lynally and had a daughter named Anne (1823-1879) who married Jeremiah Neville (1818-1868), who are buried in the Mucklagh Roman Catholic Churchyard. FindAGrave showed me headstone and detail.
I was delighted to read an earlier post from Graham Brooks, Australia, hoping information shared there is the same Roger and Mary. Since I have connected with Austrailia Neville's and Rowans that believe they go back to Roger and Mary, my heart hopes they are the same.
My retirement dream is to visit Ireland and remember ancestors never met. If any living relatives are around that would like to share a Guinness with us, the more the merrier!
If anyone can help verify Anne is a daughter of the same Roger and Mary in Graham's informatin, I'd appreciate it. Or anything I may have missed - I am new to researching my family.
Looking at the Griffith's Valuation I saw many familiar names - Roger Kelly, Neville, Mooney. so perhaps I am in the right spot and they all knew each other, marrying within the families.

I just wanted to add a bit more to what I've found for Roger and Mary. Besides the son, Edward Kelly, who is my direct descendent coming to America. They also had a son, Michael, who immigrated to Austrlia and has a growing lineage there, too. I have been in touch with the person maintaining that ancestry tree.
