John Nally was born in 1813 Co. Westmeath Ireland. He was charged with aggravated assault tried Westmeath 14th October 1836, was given 7yrs & sent to Australia. He arrived on the Heber in 1837 . He was 24yrs old. He was granted a Certificate of Freedom on the 17th November 1843
