My grandfather was James Gammell’s sibling, John Gammell, who married Margaret Bourke and then later married my grandmother, Johanna Nugent. They had 12 children one of which was my mother Ann Gammell. I’d be interested to know if you have any idea who Johanna Nugent’s parents were. I think possibly Patrick Nugent and Margaret Power.
Son of Edmond Gammell, tinsmith and Johanna Treacy, servant.
Brother of Bridget, John (married Bourke and Nugent), Johanna (married Hayes) and deceased siblings Mary, Edmond (1892), Hanoria, Edmond (1896).
Husband of Mary Ryan (married 1916 at Nicker Church).
Father of Annie, Johanna, Edmond, Mary (my grandma), Michael, Sarah, Christine, James and Margaret.
