Michael Shannon is my GGGFather. He was a farmer in the townland of Brahalish near Durrus in West Cork born in 1802 and died in 1884. He married Catherine Attridge.
I am trying to find out if he was born in West Cork as there is a suggestion that Church of Ireland weaving families may have been encouraged to migrate to West Cork from Ulster. any information would be very welcome. Thank you, Julie Shannon
