Samuel was born in 1875 at Bradox,County Monaghan,Ireland. He was the son of Joseph Knox and Margaret Jane Elliott.
He was baptised 22 JUL 1875 at 2nd Clontibret, Monaghan (C of I).
He married Eliza Holland from Drumhirk in 1912.They had five children,two of whom (Samuel & Greta) died in early childhood.
He was a farmer at Bradox and at Cork Hill, Kilskeery, County Tyrone.
In 1919 was a farmer at Corrygarry
At some time he kept horses.
He &. Eliza retired to Trillick,County Tyrone. He passed away in 1950 from cardiac failure due to myocardial degeneration. Probate was granted to his son David John Knox.
