Hi, I'm looking for further information on Katherine Stakelum nee Ryan (Cleary).
I've recently come across her grave record in Holycross Abbey:
Katherine Stakelum nee Ryan (Cleary) of Glenreich? who died on the 27th April 1980 aged 92 years.
My grandmother was Bridget 'Queenie' Ryan-Cleary, daughter of Phil, granddaughter of Michael. My grandmother inherited the family farm in Ardmayle and we still live in the area but we were only ever aware of my grandmother having 2 aunts on the Ryan-Cleary side, Mary and Bridget.
The family farm originally belonged to the Cleary family and it seems we only became Ryan (Clearys) when GG grandad Michael married in so as far as I am aware there would not be other male lines of Ryan (Clearys).
Since finding Katherine's grave record I have subsequently found a marriage record for a Robert Stakelum and Catherine Ryan in Holycross in 1919 and coincidentally it states that this Catherine's father was also Michael Ryan and a witness was Mary Ryan but the address given for Catherine is in Holycross not Ardmayle where my family are from, hence the confusion and possibility; so I'd love to find out if there is a family connection and if Katerine might be my great aunt.
Thank you.

Hi Fiona, Have you looked up death notice on one of the national daily newspapers in the National Library it may give names of immediate relatives.
Also you may get obituary on one of the Weekly newspapers in The Source in County library Thurles or if not on The Holycross notes in the same news papers.
Best of luck, let me know how you get on.Christina Irelandxo, Volunteer.
