Place of migration
Migrated to/Born in USA
Mary Ellen Roddy (my maternal grandmother) was born September 16, 1893 to Luke and Kate Roddy. She was the 3rd of 7 children. Her siblings were Patrick, Bridget Anne, Lizzie, Michael, Kate and Luke based on the 1901 census. She immigrated alone to the USA on the SS Baltic, sailing from Queenstown April 13, 1905, arriving in New York, April 22. She was sent to live with and Uncle, Michael Roddy on Boone St in Baltimore, Md. Mary Ellen married David Joseph Williamson, and they had 4 children. Mary Eileen, Sarah Frances, David, and George. They lived in Baltimore. I believe at least one of her siblings immigrated to Utica, NY. She was kind, gentle, giving and loving, and lived to 97 years of age.
