I'm looking for any info and where in Sligo my 3rd great grandparents were from. Specifically, the Conlins. James Conlin born 1833 in Co. Sligo, Ireland and emigrated to Milford, Massachusetts, US around 1845. James' parents were Mathew Conlin and Bridget Tobin. They had 5 children that I know of: Patrick, John A., James, Margaret and Bridget. John became a clergyman and settled in Bridgewater, MA. Per, Naturalization and passport records, Johan A. Conlin entered the US in Eastport, Maine in August 1846. Brother Patrick also entered the Us in Maine Aug 1846. I’m unable to locate passenger ship records. Would like to know where they left from. Also, extracts from Ireland 1841/51 census, and birth/baptism records indicate mother name as Mary, not a Bridget.
Bridget Scanlon born abt 1840 in Ireland emigrated about 1850. James and Bridget married 1865 in Milford, MA per marriage certificate.
