Ann was a nursemaid from Co.Cavan. She was born about 1829.

She was tried for lacency in Co. Fermanagh on 2 March1848 - Stealing clothes from persons unknown at Enniskillen. She had been previously been charged with stealing butter and imprisoned for 3 months (not sure where this was).

In 1848, she was convicted with lacency and sentenced to 7-years transportation to Van Diemans Land (Tasmania).  

She spent sometime in Grangegorman Prison prior to being shipped out to Australia on board ship "Lord Auckland" from Dublin on 10 November 1848.

She arrived in Tasmania on 20 January 1849.

Her Tasmanian convict records state that she was a 19 year old, protestant, nurserymaid from Co. Cavan and had the following family still n her natice place (Cavan):

Brothers - William, John & James and sister Sarah
