Sarah O'Donnell was a daughter of Patrick O'Donnell from Buncrana, Inishowen, Co.Donegal and Amelia McLoughlin. Sarah O'Donnell was born and baptized R.C. on Jan 7th, 1866 in The Holm, Buncrana, parish Inishkeel, Co.Donegal. She worked in 1901 as a machinist, lived in 20 Ballymacarry, Bunncrana with her sister Ellen and her two nieces from sister Mary. All oft them could read and write. Is listed in Cenus 1911 as a seamstress with her sister Ellen in 35 Ballymacarry, Bunncrana. She was listed in 1932 as informant of St Mary's elementary school telling stories about Buncrana for an Irish School Project. Her residence were after dad deseased in 1910 at her place of birth "The Holm" in Buncrana. Sarah died on Aug.13th, 1942 at The Holm, listed as spinster and housekeeper. Her niece Mary McDonald was present at her death. Nieces Mary and Sarah McDonald stayed in 1901 with their aunties in Buncrana because death of their parents. Sarahs siblings were Mary (marr. McDonald) (*1864,+1898), Ellen O'Donnell (1866), Bridget (marr.Johns)(1869), Patrick (1870), Charles (1872). Mary, Bridget, Patrick and Charles settled in Port Glasgow, Scotland, and lived with their families.
