Sara Conolly (1848– ) of Killure, Macosquin was a general servant and Presbyterian.
Her mother, Martha Conolly, was a cottager at #7Bb Killure (Griffith's Valuation 1858) and had no land. It looks likely that they were in the service of John Craig of Farm #7a. Her sister, Matilda Conolly was still living at home in Killure in 1865. Both girls names their first sons John, which may suggest their father was a John Conolly.
Sara gave birth to the following children at Killure:
John White (b. 09-Apr-1866). The father was labourer James White of Macleary (adjacent to Killure on its northern boundary).
Mary Connolly (circa 1869) was 32, a domestic cook and unmarried in 1901.
Martha Connely (b. Killure 18-Sep-1875) Father's name not recorded. (Named after her grandmother)
Margaret Lyons Conolly (b. 19-Oct-1877). No father's name was recorded but it looks like Sara left a big hint. (See Matilda's story)
Sarah Connolly and her daughter Mary appear on record in Killure in the Irish Census of 1901. This record confirms Sara never married.
