John Francis Ryan (mymaternal Great Grandfather) born in Castletowneroche about 1841-1842. I have found records of both dates. One in the family bible (4/17/1843) the other in his Batism record (4/22/1842. He immigrated to the United Staes where he served in the Civil War. I have his service records.He died 12/14/1896 and buried in Luthern Cemetary, now known as All Faiths Cemetary, 67-29 Metropolitan Ave, Middle Village, NY 11379. I went to the cemetary and was given the information of his burial site. He had no headstone.
