Hello, I'm really struggling to match two relatives Mary and Margaret Maher. Both their father's were names Edward Maher but I think they could have been father and son rather than the same person however I am not sure.
I believe in at least one case. Edward Maher married Mary Cute (Margaret's parents. She was born 1872 in Templemore) formaly of Twomileborris. They lived on Barrack Street, Templemore. I cannot find a marriage but think they also had a son John, and daughters Nancy and Mary.
The Mary I mentioned at the beginning, I don't believe is Margaret's sister. Mary was born in Templemore around 1862/63 and I think her parents may have been Edward Maher and Mary Fitzgerald. I am struggling to find anything to confirm.
Mary and Margaret both married british soldiers and moved to London. I have added them as ancestors so there is more detail on those pages but I'm trying to find more around Edward Maher, Mary Cute and/or Mary Fitzgerald to try and complete the links. Any help would be grately appreciated.

I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and here is what I found. I located Margaret's baptismal record and her mother was shown as Mary Tuit not Cute. I found three siblings but Edmund and Mary married in 1876 after the birth of Margaret and Anne. However, maybe there were two Edmund Maher and Mary Tuit couples but I can't find any earlier marriage either church or civil.

I did not find a Mary Maher baptismal record with father Edward and mother Mary Fiyzgerald. I did find two Mary Maher baptismal records with father Edward/Edmund in Templemore RC parish. Ironically, both families lived in Graffin townland.

Thank you Roger, I will have a look into your findings.
There is definately a Edward/Edmund Maher and Mary Cute with other childen but not Anne, Catherine and Michael so maybe two couples.
I did manage to find a baptism for Mary but again it might not be the correct one. I'm not sure where to look next!
