Elizabeth Catherine McKee, was my Great Grandmother, after the death of her mother from TB and Father in the 1870s she took her siblings Samuel, William,and Louis to New Zealand in search of a better life. Perhaps she had seen posters advertising for people to work as domestic servents with a free passage to New Zealand? with nothing left for her in Irsland she took the opportunity. After arriving in New Zealand it looks like she married John Pascoe and had a many children, most of them and Elizabeth sadly passed away. My Grandmother Louise May Pascoe and her brother survived.Her siblings all left New Zealand and settled in Austrailia.
