I'm trying to find information of my 2x greatgrandfather's1st wife and family. Here's what I know;
Patrick Lantry, born in Banagher, Kings Co. (1796-1866- immigrated to Australia in 1865 with 2nd wife Catherine Doorly and their 8 children)
Patrick married Bridget Donoghue (1st wife) about 1827, they had 9 sons & 2 daughters. I have information on 2 sonns:
Thomas Lantry 1829-1889, married Anne Killeen 13/1/1868. They had 2 girls, 5 boys. I have information up to present day descendants. Remained in Ireland.
James Lantry 1833- 1904, married Mary Killeen 9/2/1864. They had 4 girls, 6 boys. I have information up to present day descendants. Remained in Ireland.
I have no other information of the other 9 children from this marriage.
I would like to know what happened to Bridget, cause of death and where is she buried. I would also like to know anything of their children, names, dates, occupations etc. It would be fabulous to be able to contact their descendants who would be my 3rd cousins.
Many thanks,
Cheryl.

I located baptisms for two additional children of your Patrick & Bridget - both in Bangher Catholic Parish Co. Offaly/King's County - the parish is sometimes listed as : 'Gallen and Reynagh' :
John baptised 14th June 1840 (right hand page towards the bottom) and Catherine baptised 11th September 1841 (right hand page near the middle) - the first names are noted in Latin.
The baptism records for Banagher RC parish cover back to 1811 but there some significant gaps, similarly for marriage with records back to 1803. Unusually for rural Catholic Parishes the register also holds some limited records of death, but would not cover the likely timeframe for Bridget's death, civil registrations would show better details such as reported age and cause of death, but these did not commence untill 1864. Catholic records dont usually mention occupations, it's likely that like many people your Lantry/Donoghoe family were either small farmers or labourers.

found one more child - Mary (Miriam) Lantry baptised 8th March 1847 (right hand page about half way down) same parish as the others , parents Patrick Lantry and Catherine Doorly - based on the children you mentioned this shows that Bridget died sometime between 1833 and 1847.

and one further child - Kieran Lantry baptised 1st April 1860 (near the top, left page - written in Latin as Ciaronium) parents Patrick Lantry and Catherine Doorley, this time in the RC parish of Ferbane (aka Tisaron & Galen), which is located immediately north of Banagher parish. One pof the godparents (sponsors) is a Bridget Doorly - porobably a relation to Catherine.
I spotted a typo in my previous reply - the date range for Bridget nee Donohoe's death would be 1841 to 1847

Thank you so much Shane,that's quite a lot of new information found.
I have the names of the Lantry/Doorly children and birth years so I will scroll through the register link. To see the name written in Latin is amazing, I wouldn't have pickedit for which child.
Thank you once again for your pompt reply, I really appreciate your help.
Cheers, Cheryl
