My gran Catherine reilly was born in corlateerin crosserlough cavan May 1895 eldest of 12 children 2 died young her father was Patrick reilly mother Bridget reily née Smith born loonogs crosskeys cavan this photo was taken when she was working as a parlour maid in dublin to a surgeon she went back home when the war of independence was happening 1916 gran before she married at age 30 was working for the doctor in ballyamesduff cavan she met my grandad Peter reilly they married 1925 they had 7 children my mum being the eldest born 1926 mum is 96 as off 2022 grandad Peter was a son of the famous paddy reillyof the percy french song gran died in 1967
