Married to Mary Cronin (Cronan?) and migrated to New York City in 1873 aboard ship City of Paris. Ship list has children, but no wife. Came from Corlislea, Cavan where he was a flax farmer and is identified in Griffith's Evaluation. Born around 1830. No data on his parents found. Research in NYC has returned no data in local, church or federal records of him, just his oldest son, Eugene Gilligan, my great-grandfather, and some of the other children. Looking for information on parents and information on what happened to him in NYC.
