Born 1871 in Dublin to parents Richard Neville and Anna Reilly (who were married in Dublin 1868). Attended Royal Hibernian Military School and then enlisted in Northumberland Fusiliers Dublin 1885,
His brothers Horace (Horatio) Neville and Sylvester Ambrose Nevile also attended Royal Hibernian Military School and then enlisted in Northumberland Fusiliers.
Served in India, Singapore  South Africa , and as instructor in Northumberland.

Married Annie O’Hara. Six children: Jenet Ann, Horace Sylvester, Mary Kathleen, Leslie Vincent, Joseph Cuthbert, Gabrielle Maureen

Quartermaster in WW1. Received Military Cross.
Killed by an enemy bomb October 1917. Buried near Ypres at Solferino Farm Cemetery in marked grave. Remembered on the war memorial in Alnwick,.Northumberland.
