Hello everyone. Michael Burke was born in Queen's County around 1835. He died in Goshen, Orange County, New York in 1904. A photograph of the lower portion of his gravestone is attached. It says Queens Co Ireland but can anyone determine what it says before that? Looks something like Billfin or Blufin? I've been poking around at townlands.ie but I'm not confident I've found the right place. Thanks for your help!
Liz

Dear Liz
The townland is ''Ballyfin'' which is about 5 miles from Mountrath. It is a very well known place for its ''Big House'' which was built by the Coote Family from Kilmallock, Co. Limerick when they inherited the Ballyfin Estate in the late 1700's thereafter it became ''Ballyfin Collage'' and now a hotel.
