My 3rd Great-grandfather, John Smyth, is noted as being from Deerpark, Leitrim, Ireland in the Burke's Landed Gentry of Ireland and Armorial Families (attached). He married Frances Lloyd Carson on 3 Feb 1835. She was the daughter of John Carson & Jane Lloyd. It has been challenging to find information about these ancestors, but the hunt continues :-)
