My Great Grand Father Michael Patrick Murphy, County Cork, Born Abt 1863, Married Kate or Chatherine Mahoney on 4/2/1882 In St Mary Parish Innishannon county Cork. They had one daughter Hannah, born 27/12/1882, migrated to the United States sometime before their next daughter was born in 1886. My Grand Mother, (Michael and Kate's daughter) was born in 1891 Boston, MA and given up for adoption along with a son, Jerimiah another daughter Cathrine Rose when her father died of Typhoid in 1895. I have no information of the place they were taken of adoption, other than my grandmother ended up in North Dakota and her sister South Dakota. Jerimiah, I have no clue what happened to him. With the orphan trains, the boys were quickly taken in because of the ability to work the farms, the girls were probably the last taken in.
