My GG Grandfather born in Louth according to English Census of 1851. Died in Spennymoor Co. Durham in 1851. Mary McNany was named as Wife on Census but cannot find any evidence of marriage. They had children, Margaret , William ( my G Grandfather ), John and Thomas.
I speculate that the parents of Hugh were James Connor and Margaret Ward of Kilsaran Louth. I have a DNA connection with the name Ward and my closest Irish connection has the name Ward on their tree, but I have been unable to find any connection as her Ward’s are from Monaghan.
Any help would be much appreciated, as my ethnicity suggests I am 15% Irish, so I need to find a connection but finding it extremely difficult.
