According to his headstone, Michael was from "Hocklow" (Hacklow?) Co. Kildare. He immigrated to Saint John New Brunswick circa 1929 and built a construction business in 1848 which still exists today (2024). He died July 4, 1902 in Saint John.
He came to Canada with 3 brothers: Richard, John and James Flood. Richard & John apparently went on to Wisconsin and James is a mystery.
Michael Married Winnifred Ryan (b circa 1819 in Ireland / d Jan 24, 1911 in Saint John, NB). She was the daughter of Charles Ryan and Margaret Dunn.
