Place of migration
Migrated to/Born in Australia

Since her son is listed as having colic on the voyage of the AGINCOURT, we can assume she and her son, John, came with Alexander and the 58th Regiment to Australia in 1844.
Since the JAVA only carried troops to NZ, Anne must have come to NZ with Alexander aboard the THOMAS LOWRY on June/July 1847 since their daughter, Mary Jane, was baptised in Auckland on 24 October, 1847 and the birth date is stated as 21 September 1847.
18 Jul 1880:  Affidavit by Anne Henderson in which she describes her marriage and subsequent birth of her son, John.  Obviously John Henderson needed a birth certificate which was unobtainable and his mother had to swear out an Affidavit for him.  [MS.255 Auckland Institute & Museum Library.]
1881 Electoral Roll:  Alexander is noted at Turner Street, Auckland [settler] and also at Mangonui [settler].  I suspect Alexander was living in Mangonui and Anne was living on Turner Street which was where she died 10 years later.
9 Oct 1891: New Zealand Herald obituary: Ann Henderson on September 12 at her late residence, Turner Street.  Relict of the late Alexander Henderson, 58th Regt.  Aged 75 years.  Mother of George Alexander Henderson, Karangahape Road and John Henderson, Wyndham Street. Interment private.
At one time there was a gravestone in the Symond Street Cemetery [Wesleyan Section] which stated:   “Sarah Henderson died 21 September 1881 aged 22.  Also Ann Henderson mother of above.”
