My great grandfather, Maurice ( Morris) O’Keeffe was born in Garrylaurence,Clonmult County Cork to John Keeffe and Eliza McCarthy May 7, 1835. He immigrated to New York City then moved to Connecticut for a year. He finally settled in Victor New York . He married Ellen Mead and they had 7 children. He was a farmer all his life and tax assessor for the town. He died in 1903.
