Hi, I do not have much information about my great grandfather's parents. All I know is that his father was James Lewis and his mother was Mary White. My great grandfather James Lewis was born to James and Mary in shinrone, Offaly in 1841. I know very little about when he came to Australia - how he came to Australia but he married my great grandmother Mary Purcell - born Firoda/Castlecomer, Kilkenny, in Springsure, Qld, Australia on 8 April 1876. James died on 25 Oct 1921 in Barcaldine, Qld. Australia and my great grandmother, Mary, his wife died on 4 March 1923 in Barcaldine, Qld. Australia. One of their daughters was my grandmother.
