My family were from Achonry also but I can not find immigration (to Canada) records :(
Mary Collins emigrated to Australia from her home in the Parish of Achonry in County Sligo
Her brother, John Collins, arrived in Australia at Sydney on 16th June, 1855, on board the “Golden Era”. He gave his occupation as being “farm labourer” and his religion as being “Roman Catholic”. His address and his parents address, like Mary’s two years earlier, was recorded by an Immigration Official as “Ireland – Acconda – Sligo”, and it is stated that he could neither read nor write. His parents’ names are given as Michael (from Acconda) and Catherine (deceased). His only living relative in Australia is given as “Sister, Mary, living in Sydney”. Mary's brother William and her sister, Bridget, arrived in Sydney on 20th February, 1860, on board the “Fitzjames”.
"Immigration List" page from ship "Malvina Vidal" upon arrival in Sydney on 24 Jun 1853. Mary Collins' entry is half way down page. It records her as being 26 y.o., from "Arcondry" (sic) Sligo (should read "Achonry"). Parents are "Michael and Catherine, mother dead, father living at Arcondry". Religion: R/C. Can neither read nor write. No relatives in Australia. Health Good. Fare cost one pound, paid by herself.
Mary married Henry Bremer.
