Owen was born in Wales and migrated to Ireland ~1795. He married Margaret Boland ~1819 in Clara, Lemanaghan Parish. From the marriage certificate of John Williams and Mary Brearton:
“WERE MARREID AFTER ONE PUBLICATION OF BANS, JOHN WILLIAMS, SON OF OWEN WILLIAMS AND MARGARET NOLAN, PARISH OF LEMONAHAN, KINGS COUNTY, AND MARY BRIERTON DAUGHTER OF WIDOW BRIERTON, THIS TOWN. SIGNED JOHN CULLEN – PRIEST, JULY 1ST, 1850.”
Name of Nolan should have read Boland and Brierton should have read Brearton. Lemonahan should have been Lemanaghan.
Owen and children Patrick, Ann, Mary, and Margaret moved to New York City, New York, USA 1846-1849. Owen died en route and was buried at sea.
