I am trying to find a baptismal record for my ancester PETER LETTICE or LETTIS. I believe his father's name was Michael and the family was from County Meath. Peter was born 28 Oct 1818. He emigrated to the US in 1840. His siblings were Patrick (b1819), Andrew (b1824), Catherine (b1828), and James (b1829). His mother was Catherine Finnan. Both Peter's parents appear to have been born in 1785. I have tried the Tithe Applotment Books 1823-1837. I found a Michael Lettice in Kings County and several Lettis' in County Meath but was unable to connect any of them with my ancestors. The Lettice family did seem to intermarry with the Torrance family. Peter did not marry until he came to the US. I would appreciate any information or advice. So far I have found most of my information in the family Bible and on Ancestry.Thank you!
