Migrated to/Born in UK

William Cassell married Maria Carpenter on 26 February 1835 at Balliboy and Killoughy, County Offaly. They baptised 3 young children (this could be 5 young children because 2 appear in the English census returns but baptisms have not yet been found). They migrated to England between 1845 and 1848 where a further 3 children were baptised.

William was counted in the 1851, 1861 and 1871 Liverpool census returns and also in the 1869 Liverpool Electoral Registers. William died on 23 March 1872 at his home address of 6 Beatrice Street, Liverpool. The cause of death was given as Emphysema of the Lung. He was buried in Ford Cemetery, Liverpool on 26 March 1872 his age was noted as 53 years.

No baptism has yet been found however from the ages given in the Liverpool census returns and his death and burial, it would appear that William would have been born sometime between 1811 and 1819 (meaning he was aged between 16 and 24 when he married). His place of birth is not known.
