Hello! I see that you sent a message saying you were happy to share info (presumably on the Delaney family in Aghaboe?). I'm not sure how this all works, but just wanted you to know that I got the message and am eager to learn what you know.

Sara has a Bother Martin born 1796, I do wonder if Gready might be Grady as I have not seen the name Gready before

Hi Peter and thanks for responding. I had a ggg grandmother Sara Butler but I am thinking that the birth date of 1798 makes the Sara from Aghaboe not right . It seems that the record was misinterpreted on Ancestry. When I found it , it definitely says Old Glass as the place of birth, not Aghaboe. My Sara Butler married and had children in the Keeper Hill area of Tipperary and I have never found any Sara Butler before despite searching records for years. It just could be that she was born before they started keeping records. . I started wondering if this Sara that I found could be somehow related as those I found on Gedmatch with Butlers in Laois seem to have connections to Butlers in Tipperary. I had Phelans and Laceys in Laois and I know a Phelan married a Butler. I agree about the OGrady and I match many of them.
By chance do you have a Gedmatch number?
Thanks so much. Best wishes from Canada

Be careful about Tipparary there is a Laois Parish called Knock and Kyle and the birth, mariages can be in recorded in Laois, Tipparay or Offlay see the link below. I have a number of Ydna Matches with other Butlers and all of them are from Wexford my Ged match is T150109 let me know if you match, I dont think my GGranfather was a native of Laois.

Are you aware of the site below I find it very useful, sometimes understanding the geography can help in finding records, my Phelans lived in Abbeyliex but all their records are in Raheen, once I looked at it on a map I could see why, the chuch in Raheen was a lot closer. I suppose which church you go to is dependant on distance rather than parish\county boarders

Hi Thanks for your number.
I do not match . It is quite far back so there is something if I lower the cMs which I don't like to do. . In the common matches though I see name after name that shows up in my matches lately as I study Butlers. McCarthy, Kirkpatrick, Luna,Rice, Hughes (my Butler cousins and I match them) and Duffy, Campbell, Kennedy. O'Brien Collins, McDonald, Looking deeper .

I think its probale that the matches may come from my Great Grandmother Mary Delaney, my grandmother was a Phelan both are the most common names in Laois which doesnt make reseaching any easier.
I checked out AD1051602 and have a deeper look at it, its a while since Ive been on Gedmatch
Comparing Kit T150109 (Peter Butler) [Migration - F2 - F] and Kit AD1051602 (Michael Richard Butler) [23andMe V5]
Letes me know how you get on if I come across and information I will post it on here
