Looking for ancestors of William Brennan DOB - 1825, died Jan 29, 1883. The info I have is that he came from Killkearn. He married Annie Cassidy from Kilarney. County Offaly, Province Leinster. Emigrated to Canada.
I'm not sure what parish they belonged to but would like any info available.

Killkearn is a townland in the civil parish of Clonyhurk, Co. Offaly.
I cannot find a reference to Kilarney in Co. Offaly, however I have found Killaranny..could this be where you are referring to?
Killaranny is in the civil parish of Rahan.

You could try looking in church records for information on William. Most Catholic records are held locally. One website which you may find useful is the Irish Times where they give an overview of what records are available. The relevant Roman Catholic parish that you should be looking at is Portarlington. Have you tried searching for records at Family Search? This is a huge database of genealogical records. You can search it here: www.familysearch.org
If you can find William?s birth records it will have his parents? names listed. Also, his marriage record may list father?s names.
