The Tulla Stables was built about 1812 by the local gentry for the purpose of facilitating the carriages and horses that were used to bring them to attend services at the Church of Ireland across the road. The stables consist of six bays in a single story structure. After the demolition of the Church building in the early 1960s, the stables were used as a County Council depot. They were extensively renovated in 2007 and were opened as Tulla Stables Artist's Studios Complex and now house six studios which are rented to various artists for workspace.
