My 3x gt grandfather, Timothy Sheehan and wife Ellen (Bany?) are recorded as parents of John in a RC parish register for baptisms (19 Jan 1832). Buttevant is given as baptism place, with residence place of Clontish, Diocese of Cloyne. Brother of John is recorded as Donagan, in 1851 England Census. Donagan recorded as 9 years (born in Cork). Therefore, family likely left Ireland between abt 1842 (approx birth of Donagan) and 1851. Census records Timothy age as 45 and Ellen, 40. Unable to confirm baptism or birth date for Donagan. Also, no further records (marriage, death, emmigration,etc) have been found for Donagan; possible name change/adoption?
