The parishes of Tumna South, Killukin, Killummod and the eastern parts of Kilcola and Eastersnow were amalgamated to form the present Catholic parish of Croghan.

It is possible that an ancestor citing "Croghan" as place of origin on a ship's manifest from this period onwards could possibly have hailed from any of these civil parishes.
