Patt and Mary lived in Dean, a small hamlet near Lumb, Rossendale, Lancashire. They worked in a local cotton mill and then Patt became a smallholder, on a dairy farm in Dean. He died in Dean in February 1903, from brain seizure, and was burried in St Michaels, Church of England, graveyard in Lumb. His son Patrick Joseph had predeceased him and was already in the grave. His wife, Mary died in 1920, in Blackpool, where she was staying with her married daughter Mary, who had died in Blackpool Victoria hospital the week previously. Mary was subsequently buried with husband Patt and son Patrick Joseph. Other Children were buried, with their husbands in Lumb Baptist graveyard.
Their other children, in order of DOB were; Ann, Infant, John, Mary, Patrick Joseph, Michael, my Gt Grandfather, Thomas, William and James, all were born and lived in Lancashire.
