Pauls parents were Matthew Regan and Bridget Gowran. They were married in the Parish Church of Trim on 16 July 1832. They had 8 children James, Elizabeth, John, Thomas, Matthew, Catherine, Paul (my great grandfather) and Bridget. Paul was born in abt 1851 and became a shoemaker as did many of his brothers. At least six of the children migrated to Australia including Paul.
The Regan family lived in Scarlet Street, Trim which I believe is now part of St Loman Street. I dont know when Pauls parents died or whether they are buried in Trim. Any information on Matthew and Bridget Regan would be gratefully received. Paul Regan died at Coonamble New South Wales in 1925.
