St Tolas Cross DYSERT

In the 11th or 12th-century, Saint Tola who had begun his life as a hermit at Disert Tola was venerated by the erection of a High Cross at the Dysert O'Dea monastery. One of the figures on Tola's Cross aka Crusha Baunala, depicting a bishop, is understood to represent St. Tola.
