Ann Murphy was born in 1819 according to family records at Tynagh, County Galway Ireland. Her mother's maiden name was believed to be Kitty Monahan. On Feb 14, 1843 she married James Larkin from Tynagh. The sponsors at the wedding were Frank Kelly and Catherine Larkin. They ultimately had a total of 10 children (7males and 3 femailes). When she died on Aug 8, 1893 in North Adams, Massachusetts (USA) she left three daughters and six sons. Her obituary indicated that she also left a brother and sister in Ireland. She was buried at a family plot in Hillside Cemetery, North Adams.

Catherine Larkin Reagan was born in Ireland 12/17/1842, married Charles Reagan and had 7 children. She died 11/3/1914 in North Adams, Massachusetts.
Margaret Larkin Dunn was born in Ireland 10/7/1844, married Edward Dunn and moved to Charles City, Iowa where they had 8 children. She died in Charles City 10/5/1921.
William Larkin was born in Ireland 9/14/1846 and died in North Adams, MA 8/24/1853 (less than 7 years old). Most likely named after his father’s father.
John Larkin was born in Williamstown, Massachusetts 2/6/1850 and married Celia Curran (no children). He died in North Adams, MA on 8/17/1921.

Anna Larkin was born 7/23/1854 in North Adams, Massachusetts. She became Sister Mary Charles of the Sisters of Providence in Kingston, Ontario and died 12/19/1911 at their new location in Holyoke, MA.
Martin A. Larkin was born 9/27/1856 in North Adams, Massachusetts. He never married, was a co-owner of Larkin Brothers Music Store and died in Holyoke, MA 9/3/1920.
James Thomas Larkin was born 12/31/1858, married Mary Alice Sullivan and had ten children. He owned Larkin Bros Printing and died in North Adams, MA 1/17/1913.
Michael Owen Larkin, my grandfather, was born in North Adams, Massachusetts on 10/3/1861. He married Ellen Leary on 9/5/1899 and had 7 children, four that lived to be adults. He co-owned Larkin Brothers Music in Holyoke, MA and died 9/14/1921.
Peter W. Larkin was born in North Adams, Massachusetts on 5/15/1865. He married Mame Flaherty in 1896 and lived in the Bronx, NY. He died 3/7/1909 (?) and is buried in North Adam’s Hillside Cemetery.
