Searching info about my great grandparents Julia Kirby and Timothy Burns. Julia was born around 1860 in County Kerry, and emigrated to Hartford, Connecticut sometime before 1883. I don't have any information about her parents or those of Timothy. I believe he was born around 1842 and was living in Hartford, CT, in 1883. His first wife, Mary Ellen Houlihan died 1883. Julia Kirby Married fellow Irishman and widower Timothy Burns in 1884 and then returned to Killarney where their first child together, Bridget, was born. More children followed: Ellen/Nellie, Stephen, Timothy, and Patrick. It was a blended family (Katherine, Charles, and John) from Timothy, sr's first wife MaryEllen Houlihan. The 1901 and 1911 census show the Burns family living in Kenmare.
